You'll need to remove radiator, and etc, front cover too. Oil and fuel pumps. And the oil pan. Then, all valves. Next, put a dozen clothes pins on the tappets, holding them up.

Simply slide the cam out the front.

Then remove the clothes pin from the offending tappet allowing it to simply fall out.

Or maybe try a dab of lok-tite?
