Depends what you're shipping but in general, I just go get it myself. California return is a 2 day drive so it's no big deal.
My only planned trip is Hollister in October.
If you have something needing shipping down...I'll be empty. If you have something coming home....I can't help you Bruce. I'll have the W500 dump bed truck from Wawona, CA on my trailer & 2 Rockwell axles with wheels & tires in the bed of my truck.
This will be by far the biggest load I've ever carried on my trailer....& my poor Dodge 2500 with the gas engine...you can probably visualize how it's going to like the trip up Mt. Shasta...& even worse...the trip down the other side!
