Just to be clear, I have absolutely no intention of butchering the truck for this.
What I'd hoped to do was just make custom motor mounts that would take advantage of the stock locations if at all possible.
I did consider updating to power steering which would also move the box to the outside of the frame.
It's very important to me not to cut the truck up...
I just happened to have that engine handy that's why I asked. I know it's breaking the "brand rules" but it's a reliable engine that makes lots of power and will tach higher than the flathead.
I really want to do the 4bt diesel swap but honestly don't have the funds at the moment so I thought this might be the next best option.
Again, I want everything fully reversible in case I ever decide to really do a first class restoration on it.
