On an M35A2, straight from the DRMO, I found the following problems:
Wrong secondary and final fuel filters, which were half the length of the right ones and rattled around in the cans providing absolutely no filtering.
Toe-in set to 1", when it should have been 1/8".
Headlights wired up wrong so in one position (can't remember if it was high or low) they ran at half brightness.
Jam nuts on #1 rocker arms not tightened, presumably after a valve adjustment, causing nuts to work loose, push rods to slip off of rocker arms, and #1 cylinder to not fire. Miraculously, the pushrods didn't get bent and the nuts landed on top of the head rather than falling down the push-rod holes and wrecking the cams.
And all this was from a motor pool mechanic, not a shade tree one.
