So, basically what you are saying is that if I find that I have used some components beyond their serviceable live span, my plug gaps have widened, my points are dirty and out of adjustment, my condenser is shorting out, the distributor has loosened a bit and timing is off, the carburetor is leaking and out of adjustment, the needle and seat are worn, and my fan belt is frayed, that I should not perform a tune up? Instead, I should clean and gap my plugs, file and adjust my points, check the dwell, set the timing, clean and adjust the carburetor, and replace the condenser, needle, seat, and fan belt?
