All three of my MU-2s drums are empty. I was told by more than one person not to fill the drum completely full.Easier to have it jump off the drum as you're winching.Another reason as Norm said the fuller the drum the harder the winch has to work to pull it in.Much like higher gearing principle. As I can get a very good price on winchline (crane rated). I was going to buy enough for all three,but I did'nt want to pay for overkill. So want I need is the foot lenght for say about a tight wrap a bout one inch down from the top edge of the drum ???
