I have successfully used Hirsch Miracle Paint (see ads in Hemmings) on many trcuks including my FF PW. It is easy to use and is thin so it flows into crevices. I used it on my '90 Dakota's drive shaft when it was new and no rust has ever shown up there. Though not too many folks seem to use it and prefer the pain in the ass of the multiple steps of POR-15 I love the stuff and use it on metal doors, my boat (salt water variety) and I am always happy with the results. It can be painted over or undercoat can be applied over it.
