Hey:

Like many of you scross the country, besides the heat, we are dealining with very high humidity levels here in Uggville. Even though the temp is in the 70's, the humidity makes it pretty unbearable.

We have window ac's here, and the other day, our biggest quit on us. Turned out (at least I'm hoping) that there was to much moisture build-up, and it not draining well enough. This is a BIG unit, almost 15K btu's.

Fortunately, it has extra holes on it's bottom with plugs in em, so I pulled 1, and man, did the water flow. It happens to drain on to our deck, creating a wet, slippery spot, right by our back door, so I placed an old coffee can under it to collect the water.

Damn, did it fill fast (40 oz can), so I dumped it (on some plants) and put it back, only to have to do it again very shortly later, so for grins, I got a 5 gal bucket & started dumping the can into it. In LESS than 24 hours, the 5 gal can is full. WOW, that's alot of water pulled from the house.

Later
Ugg
