That's the first questionable move that they have made. Nardelli has no automotive experience and has been under fire at Home Depot for some of his tactics.
If they didn't have confidence in LaSorda they should have replaced him with Bob Lutz.
The only good news is the unheralded item that was glossed over, "Cerberus and Chrysler would like to thank Wolfgang Bernhard for his
contributions leading to the closing of this transaction. Both
Cerberus and Chrysler had looked forward to his continuing
contributions as non-executive chairman of Chrysler, however due to
personal and family reasons he was not able to accept that role."
Seeing Bernhard leave is good news, his tenure at Chrysler was a disaster.
