what the price would be these days for a WDX / WM300. With all the EPA and DOT requirements it would be a $50K truck. Not that those are bad requirements, but they would surely jack the price sky high.

With that aside, If Chrysler built a strictly 'work' truck, no frills, few options, just super tough 4x4 following the concept of the WDX / WM300, I bet they would sell.

Options is what drives the price up. People want a tough 4x4, yet it must ride like a Chrysler New Yorker ( I was not going to say the Cad...... word ha ha). It must be sound proof, AC, Stero Systems. Contractors and people working off road want dependability, the ability to hose out the cab, and lots of ground clearence and wheel fender clearence like is found on the FFPW's.

It appears with the new Chrysler, new designs will be what the majority of buyers want. That is good.

At least we wont have to watch commercials with a Chrysler driving around some fountain in Europe with the opera playing ha ha
