But...If you try to take a photo of the front of a WDX-WM300 model truck that has a black grill, the grill tends to blend in with the radiator and become lost. This is especially true at any distance other than "close up".
The general concensus is that Dodge painted the grills on these trucks the same color as the body. Personally, I have never inspected an original (non-repainted) grill that was anything other than body color. A lot of times the front of the grill may look black on an original truck, because the paint may be chipped off down to the black primer or all the way through leaving the patina of surface rust, but I have always found body color paint on the backsides. I have not looked at them all though.
If you like black, I say go for it!
