The line that catches my eye is,

"The Lifetime Powertrain Limited Warranty covers the cost of all parts and labor needed to repair a covered powertrain component that is defective in workmanship and materials."

I've seen that time and time again and normally it is up to the discretion of the dealer to give it to you. Normally, from my dealings, they say it is normal wear and tear not covered beacause the Parts THEMSELVES were not defective.

We have a local car parts place that offers lifetime warranteed brake pads. The "lifetime" part is for "manufactures defects". I pinned the counter guy down when he tried to slide it in on the guy in front of me($10.00 more per brake pad set) and he finally admitted it wasn't for wear. He ended up saying they'd go broke if they replaced pads just for wear. He wasn't happy with me busting his sale.

It will be interesting to see what happens when a tranny goes out after 70,000 miles. I hope they honor it but I have to remain skeptical on this.

Thanks for posting the fine print Norm, Kevin
