I drywall screwed the old one to the sheet of particle board, and put nails straddling it so I could lay the new wires right on top. I used the wiring diagram that is somewhere in the tech spec on this page. I added fuse blocks,a tree-wire alternator, and a back up light harness- if I ever change the tranny. Plus, I used terminals that were heat shrink and had low melt solder in them, so it is more water proof than anybody's. Cheap too, one friend gave me a zillion spools of vinyl wire, another brought the terminals home in his lunch box. It took me about a day to make it, vs $600 to buy one.
