Spitfire engine for sale

I have just found a Spitfire engine, attached to an irrigation rig at an old farm near my house. It is mounted on a frame that has a radiator mount (radiator missing) and a bell-housing bolted to the pump. It is seized, according to the owner.

Starter is missing and the distributor is busted. Temp gauge tube hole is plugged with a soiled handkerchief from 1957.

Make an offer over the scrap value, and I'm sure the owner will sell it. I could probably arrange to get the pump and BH removed if someone was interested in just the engine.

Location is Mattituck, New York, 11964
