Rather than repeat the rally schedule of the last two years we are planning a tour of the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia in October.

This will be a road rally and tour of some of the most scenic places in West Virginia, including Blackwater Falls State Park, Canaan Valley State Park, Dolly Sods Wilderness Area, Sceneca Rocks Recreation Area, and Spruce Knob Recreation Area (highest point in WV at 4,863 ft.).

The tour will start in Morgantown, WV. You can leave a tow vehicle and trailer in my yard or on my farm in PA. If you are coming from the south, you can meet us in Canaan Valley. The route will be mostly secondary paved roads with some gravel Forest Service roads with mild stream crossings and a few off-road options.

This will be a family-oriented event. We will picnic and hike or whatever at each location. We will stay in group campsites, group cabins, or rustic lodges depending on the group's preference. We may do a scenic chair lift ride at Canaan Valley Ski Resort, visit the Smallest Church in 48 States, check out the windmill farm, etc. Regular vehicles are welcome to tag along for those who don't have their truck finished or want to have other family along to see the sights.

Tentative dates are October 5-8th. That's Columbus Day Weekend, so kids should have no school on Monday.

Please respond to the following questions:

1. Are you interested in participating?

2. What weekend in October works best for you?

3. Will you bring a Power Wagon?

4. How many people would be in your group?

5. Do you prefer camping, cabins, lodge rooms, or a mix?

6. Do you have any special needs as far as travel times, trailer storage, etc. to make the event possible for you?

You can respond here or send me an email at: dad2nick1@yahoo.com

I will provide more information on the tour route, mileage, overnight accomodations, etc. as we get closer to October.

Thanks. And hope to see you on the tour!
