I can't help but restoring a PW from the frame up. Each time I get one, I swear I'm going to leave it alone and make it mechanically sound. And then piece by piece, it stars to come apart. I say to myself,"Well, this just needs a little attention, and I'll just staighten that, etc." The next thing you know, the entire truck is laying on the floor and here comes another $10,000 of expense. Sure, it's great to look at and catches peoples eye's. But after doing all that work, that's all It does. If that's what you want, fine. But my regret is that I fix these things up( and love doing it) but I can't bring myself to put it through it's paces after all the hard work and expense. Paul is right, you can still take it out and have fun in some dirt and mud, and get a puple heart or two, but don't cry and be mad at yourself later when it happens. I did this with my 48 B1, and I finally got over it a month ago. Now it is officially Christened, and I've been having some great fun with the kids and friends that is worth more than the truck itself. I can fix it over and over, but memories are made only once. Either way it's your choice, but make it fun and don't look back with regret...chrisnj
