Most folks make the mistake of moving the camera when they shoot videos trying to follow the action. They will also zoom the lens in and out to change the focal length.
Rule No. 1. Always use a tripod when making videos. Never, ever hand hold the video camera.
Rule No. 2. Change the focal length of your zoom lens before you shoot the scene. Camera movement is accentuated when you use telephoto zoom.
Using these two tips will improve your videos a 100%. Try it.
Fire hose shooting only makes the audience sea sick.
