M880 have the same axles as a 3/4 ton w200.
they have the hub less full time (junk) dana 44 up front and the dana 60 in the back.
The M880's had heavy'er springs to get the 1 & 1/4 ton capacity, so that is pretty much the differance in the "suspension systems" being different, only spring capacity!
W300's had dana 60 front and back and some times a dana 70 was also used in the civilan trucks.
