some tips that apply to tire service
T137 wheels/tires (9.00x16) are in the 140#
range so to remove from vehicle:
loosen lug nuts a bit, jack up so tire is about.5 to 1 in off of the ground - remove the lug nust put your butt against wheel and with your hands behind you slowly lift & remove wheel from hub NO Strain - NO Pain
when installing roll tire next to hub, slip bar under tire and using the bar lift the tire/wheel on to the studs again NO strain
NO pain
no prying or pounding needed as you mentioned in your first post
