In the past forums, several people have indicated that they prefer military battery terminals over others. As I look at McMaster carr (about $4.49 each), these terminals are lead and connect to the battery cable with only a bolted connection. Perhaps its the bolted connection people like.

*Why these type versus something like a quick disconnect (knob turn type) or a marine type?
*Why lead versus brass?
*I assume the preferred method of attachment is to solder a ring terminal on the 2/0 battery cable, then bolt to military terminal and secure to battery post.
*What are peoples thoughts on the use of impregnated felt washers?

Thanks.
