You will get many, many opinions on how to deal with your wheels when changing tires. Search the archives and you will find many discussions on what can go wrong, and how to prevent it. The absolute failsafe way is to take them to a truck tire shop. If you decide to do it yourself, make sure you are confident in what you are attempting, have a buddy to help just in case, and stand clear when airing it up. Most of all, pay strict attention to what you are doing. And read what people here have to say. Most have done it before and know whats up. Good luck.
