Coils can go bad under higher loads. Check it's polarity too. Negative to points in a negative ground system.

If dwell in good, I'd check the fuel system for blockage.

My pet peeve is the inline filters that are put in by hacking through he O.E. steel line, and jamming it into the rubber hose. The rough steel cuts the inner liner of the hose, and it will collapse under high demand, cutting off the flow. Or the frayed bits of rubber plug valves in the pump or cause flooding by holding the needle off it's seat in the inlet fitting at the carb. or plug the jet, if they get that far.

Or maybe a bad fuel pump? Vapor lock due to sealed fuel tank?- try it with the gas cap loose/off.
