Whining? When? Stating facts is not whining. Stating what is is not whining. Sticking ones head in the sand and saying "This is the way it is, like it or leave it" is STUPID and opens one up to injury to exposed areas (unless one likes that sort of thing).
The garbage info coming out from both sides of ANY issue is just that, garbage info (again, remember what Mr. Hurst said). It's up to us to understand both sides and make our own opinions.
Personally, I'm all for making a profit (I wish I was doing that again, & hopefully will again soon), but how much profit is enough, and is there ever enough? Greed is NOT good.
See Nammy, er, Buttercup, I'm one of them stupid people. If I'm walking down the street & see 7 guys beating on 1 guy, I'll get involved. 1st, I'd stop the beating & then find out why it was happeneing. I've actually done this many times.
In most cases, the poor schlub getting the beating was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Some times the guy actually deserved the beating & more. My actions after the inital beating would then depend on the whys of it.
What's that gotta do with big business your probably askin (or in your case, axin ;>)), wll, if I see sumpthin wrong goin on, I will NOT keep quite about it. Most wrong doers DO NOT want to be known. Will I lay down, and cry and be totally immobile because of it? HELL NO! I DON'T GIVE UP. I DON'T QUIT, and I RARELY BACK DOWN (except with the Mrs, yeah, I admit it, I'm whipped).
I don't whine Nammy, I bitch. There's a BIG difference. I also don't stick my head in the sand, I HATE Vasoline (the kind usually served to me has either sand or ground glass mixed in). A BIG mistake that a lot of folk make when either hearing or reasding a statement (and I on a VERY RARE occasion fall into this group) is that they lock on to or focus on to only a small part of the total statement. The true context of said statement is missed.
Real men DO bitch. I'm sure you do it too. Probably a lot. We used to say about my Dad, his mind was made up, don't confuse him with facts. FACTS IS FACTS. Period. Now they can be twisted to meet whatever views one has, the same as with stats.
Here's a good example (and I know some will get all upset, but to bad). Our fearless leader, when called upon by his country to serve in a dangerous, possibly life threatening situation, took the cowards way out. His past 2 opponents DID go when called upon. They even served with distinction.
Those are the facts, plain & simple. They were twisted around & around, to meet one party's need over the other. Who's right & who's wrong? Now your buddy Mr. Gore is goin around warning about this global warming.
He states how this big chunk of Antartica broke off becuase of the warming. Well, part of that is a fact. The other fact is that the rest of Antartica is actually growing & the ice is getting thicker (according to some NASA scientists).
In the past, we've discussed wheather or not people do affect the enviorment. I STILL say we do, but not in the long term overall picture. Whatever WE DO, usually can be corrected. However, we SHOULD take care of our planet. If something is bad for the enviorment, we shouldn't do it.
Hey, I use them screw in Florescent bulbs everywhere here in Uggville. Not because it's "GREENER", because in actuality it's not. They use Mercury. VERY BAD for the enviorment. I use em becuse it lowers my electric bill, PERIOD.
I BITCH about how our electric company has raised their rates 25% initally, and claim how if they don't get to keep em that way, they'll go broke. BS! Our local is the MOST profitable one in the nation.
Am I ending it at that? HELL NO! I've been looking into alt sources. Same goes for natural gas. We'll be switching over to a wood fired boiler soon I hope.
So Buttercup, don't say someone's whining when they state facts or sayin what's goin on. It's called an exchange of information. It's a GOOD thing to do. A little hint bro, don't try & figure me out, you'll NEVER do it (the wife is the closest but I STILL surprise her), besides, it really ain't worth it. There's MUCH better things to do, like scratchin ones butt while watchin the eagles soar from horizon to horizon. Whew, are we havin fun yet? HA!
