mario is running on the big fish small pond theory. problem is the small pond isnt so good these days. pittsburgh has tons of potential but is mired in political corruption and dual taxation. if you own a business there, you get taxed by the county and the city at the same time. if you go just outside the city, taxes are so much lower that you'd be crazy to try to do business within the city limits. itw unfortunate as there are a lot of good people there.
