Elect. help!!!

My 12v 56' runs great until I touch the brakes, put on the turn signals or turn on my headlights. when the engine dies it will NOT restart for several hours then it will fire up like nothing was everr wrong. Do I have a problem with the breaker behind the light switch. What would you guys do?
