early 3/4 tons have smaller diffs than later ones. So your Carryal 3/4 ton may have early 3/4 ton axle assemblies. As far as I know all the 1/2 tons had 12 inch front brakes rather than the 14.125 brakes like 3/4 ton and FFPW and 6x6. I would go with the 3/4 ton axles whether large or small at least just to obtain the larger front brakes than the 1/2 tons had.
