Do as Roger says. You also have adjustemnt in/out in the horizontal direction by loosening the bolts and sliding the hinge.

If you ever drop another backing plate in the door post, DONT cut it all open, post here and I will tell you how to make all well, have a good night sleep and by drilling only one .250 hole
