First off, I'm not trying to insult VPW or anything, I'm just saying that oftne times it is cheaper, easier, faster, and local(VPW is NOT local).

Even if they were cheaper on select items, the shipping puts them over.

Wheel cylinder kits at VPW are $6. I got mine cheaper at NAPA.

Brake shoes? Go to a local place and see how much they charge, much less to reline.

"New Repordiction Floor Pans" - $170 for a pair. I made mine EXACTLY the same and saved about $140.

Or, the countless brackets that can be made for far less than NOS ones while supporting your local steel shop (yes, its local).

Once again, I am certainly not trying to insult Vintage Power Wagons at all or start an argument. I am just saying that there exists other means of restoring a Power Wagon than VPW.
It's probably the way the old timers did it back when many Power Wagons were still in use. "Gee, I just busted my fender bracket. Instead of blowing a days pay on a new one from the Dodge dealer, maybe I'll just make my own from this pile of scrap here."
