Well there's lots & lots of vehicles that fit into that category but what makes a parts car a parts car is the end value.
Take a Plymouth Superbird for example....no such thing as a parts car.
Take a Pacer now....you might find that it's far more profitable to part out a 29K original mile car than to restore it.
I know you don't like to hear it but it all comes down to profit & the vehicles value.
This is why nice rust free Power Wagons get parted out. Very few guys willing to spend what it takes to restore one & if you are...you'll lose money doing so.
If you buy a nice straight rust free WDX for $5K....you'll make money parting it out.
I realize to many on this forum there is a sentimental attachment to Dodge Power Wagons but to most of the world....it's just another old truck.
I admitt that for me...I can't help spending whatever it costs resurecting them but I also acknowledge that if there was nobody parting them out...none of us would be able to restore or repair these trucks. The reproduction parts are crap & trucks need to be sacrificed to save others.
That's my $.02 for the evening!
