I have no idea what the scale is in the book but the proper scale used for all vintage vehicles goes like this-
#1-
Fully restored vehicle or mint condition original vehicle, never driven & trailered to car shows. If a #1 car was driven 50 miles it would take hundreds of hours of detailing to get it back to #1 condition.
#2-
Fully restored vehicle or mint original vehicle. Rarely driven, appears new from every angle including the bottom. Most people cant destinguish between #1 & #2 condition.
#3-
Nice original driver with no rust issues. My have been partially restored but to most people a #3 will look as nice as your 2005 Dodge Ram that you drive back & forth to work. A #3 car to many is as nice a car/truck that they would ever be able to use.
#4-
Nice restorable car/truck. Minor rust issues, may or may not be running & likely needs paint, interior etc. Most Power Wagons at the typical rallys fit into this category.
#5-
Needs full restoration. Likely has some fairly serious rust/body issues. Eric may be eying this one up for parts as opossed to spending the big $$'s it'll take to bring it back to life but generally a #5 is seen as a restorable vehicle if you spend enough time & money.
I'd say half of all Power Wagons left on planet earth fit into this category.

There may be other scales used by people but this is the universal scale used by car collectors.
