Only the ambulance had wrapped springs (spring leaves were wrapped in overlapping metal) to hold in the factory applied grease between the spring leaves for a "smoother" patient ride. The WC-59 and WC-60 should have exposed spring leaves. The ambulance chassis also had two metal stops along the rear cross member to stop the fold down rear entry step from going underneath the frame when used. I forgot exactly how those two stops were attached.
