So, I am starting to subscribe to the crushable sleeve theory for pre-loading the pinion bearing on my 1964 W200. I sortta tightened it, and now it makes a noise like a huge buzzing mosquito, and it gets hot when it runs. That ain't good. So I will see if I can get me one of them crushable sleeves, but how many degrees do I tighten it? Anyone have a manual for these trucks? Anyone have one for sale?
