It just depends who does the Powder Coating for you.
Consider this....every motorcycle built is Powder Coated now. Paint is rapidly becoming a thing of the past.
A good powder coating job will not peel & you can not remove it in a bead blast cabinet. Wheels, frames, steering & suspension...there's no paint coating that will hold up as well as powder coating if it's been done properly.
Do your research...there are millions of PC shops now & 9/10ths of them do crappy work...just like body shops.
Talk to the hotrod crowd. They've been powder coating for 20 years & it seems they have a pretty good network of shops that do quality work.
Even the best & most expensive powder coating shop in the US...it will be cheaper to have a set of wheels done than you could by the epoxy to paint them yourself.
