Have you done that? Doesn't it take a huge amount of water to not soak into the ground as fast as it comes out of the hose? If it works, it might help me get it loose, but it can still only go up about 6" before it hits the gas line.
The gas company told me today that they can disconnect the branch line at the main, but they have to dig up the street to get to the valve, which means I'd have to pay for not only digging up the street and disconnecting the gas, but repaving the street. This is really getting to be a mess.
