Sounds like Dell. I'm finding out that warrantys (for most items) aren't worth the paper they're written on. As for computer stuff, what we do if we need to get a new one is get a scratch & dent model from Dell, and screw the warranty/tech support. Like ya said, it's quicker (and probably less hassle if ya do it yourself.
