Claoe...The dist. does not run in reverse. The cam is gear driven and runs in reverse. The dist. drive gear on the cam and the dist. / oil pump drive shaft both have reverse angle gears. The engines had a 100,000 mile warrenty in the 60's which was unheard of then.
