You can build a third series look-a-like from an early 60's w100-200 step side bed. My friend Kieth has done this and I am getting ready to do the same. You need to remove the fenders and small running board. You have to cut 2" off the height of the bed panel at the bottom in front of the wheel-well. The location of the wheel-well itself is off, I think by about 3". If I remember, right, you can shift the bed forward or back half the distance so it's hardly noticeable. I will know for sure on Tuseday, because this is what Tim H. and I are doing to make a third series bed.
There is a phot of one of these beds on a truck on Joe's "Photos" page, near the end (beginning of his photos). If I remeber right, the front section has not been trimmed off the bed yet. Or email me and I'll send some photos to you.
