Correct, the Shut Down Valve is on my 4BTA's on the old iron. Before my Cummins in my 03 is out of warantee, I plan to put on on it also.

I just today found that the Wood Group in Houston makes a emergency shut down called a Rig Saver. The design looks very much like the Roda Deaco valves I have been using. They may be cheaper than the Canadian Valves ?

In my way of thinking, its cheap insurance should a engine runaway. But unless a runaway is imediatelly stopped, the engine will distruct. And I really dont want to open a hood to try to block the air flow on a screaming engine. A C02 fire extinguisher dumped into the air intake will also shut her down. But again you have to get to close. With a shut down valve, just pull the T Handle and its over before major damage is done.
