Doc, I am fixing to move the booster on my 1955 C-3-PW from under the cab to behind the cab so that the tailshaft can be installed. The bracket that is on the booster is critical for an under cab installation. There were several different brackets used on boosters and only one that works under the cab. It is easily identified by the presence of a large cotter pin (mounted in a hole in the bracket with the eye facing upwards) that takes the place of the small bracket that hooks to the stationary end of the clutch return spring. I will try to get a picture for you. Might be a day or two as I am traveling this week.
