Check out compact media cards at Walmart. I found one there for my camera that was 1 gig for 12 bucks. That way you don't have to worry about down loading anything.
The only thing you have to be concerned about transferring images to DVD or CD in Europe is that they use PAL formate and is not compatible with our system. When I traveled to Yemen I carried extra media cards and took over 4000 images without any problem. Only problem I have now is wondering who in the world is going to look at all these pictures
