I remember an old trick my Dad used to use on his 55 C3PW. He would insert a long prybar into the shackle and have me bounce it up and down while he was pumping the grease in. Seemed to work most of the time. I've often wondered though if yuou could apply a little heat to the pin while applying the grease?
