Thought I'd carry this over from the last forum, regarding the sale of Chrysler.

Looking at the latest issue of a highly read automotive publication, I noticed an review of 3 small SUV's, all touted to be great on fuel and your pocketbook.
They are; the Honda CR-V $22,000-23 city, 30 hwy.
Toyota RAV4, $29,000-22 city, 29 hwy.
Suzuki Grand Vitara, $25,000-19 city, 23 hwy.
Now most Americans think these are fuel efficient alternatives to gas guzzling America SUV's such as;
Dodge Caliber $18,000-28 city, 32 hwy.
Jeep Patriot $15,000-26 city, 30 hwy.
Noting that the Dodge is $11,000 LESS than the Toyota and gets better mileage and the Jeep is $14,000 LESS than the Toyota and gets better fuel mileage, I'm wondering JUST HOW STUPID are American consumers???
I think the answer may be that we are not stupid, but we sure are ignorant. Commercials for all three imports tout their fuel economy and price, yet the Dodge and Jeep Commercials show bobble heads, rap music, inane street scenes and NEVER mention the fuel economy and seldom mention the price. Could Chrysler's problems be as simple as FIRING their ad agency and removing their cranium from their sphincter? Let's hope the New Chrysler does just that.
