I installed the clutch in my 48 and ran into the following problem, any help would be greatly apreciated.
purchaced napa clutch disk # r-2358 and ca-1323 pressure plate as per Greg Coffins power train survival manual.
All looked well untill I depressed the clutch and herd rubbing and encountered resistance. After removing it I found that the edges of the disc were comming in contact with the inside of the pressure plate. It seems that the disc is just a little to large in diameter. Disc is 10 3/8 measured accross. Are these the wrong numbers or do I have a bad disc? seems that 1/8" or so smaller would solve the problem. Should also mention their are only 4 bolts holding the flywheel on, its a 219 block I have? Thanks in advanc for any input you may have."bitchin" again,John
