I just purchsed a 1948 B-1-PW and just finished my first oil. Let me tel yopu what, thirty years of sludge builds up quick! I have the deluxe filter with the t-handle you are talking about. I went ot my local NAPA store and bought canister "sock" filter, I want to say the NAPA Gold filter # is 1033. If that isn't the right number just take the dimensions of your canister down there and thbey should fix you up with one. Hope this helps
