Hi -

I found something pretty cool in the junkyard the other day and I'd like to find out what it is. I figure it's some type of Dodge Power wagon or M-37 or something - it's pretty much WW2 or close vintage.

The truck is pretty much just the rolling chassis. It has large ND tires on what seem to be combat rims - some kind of beadlock deal - like a split rim with bolts around the edge...

It's 4wd, of course, and has a divorced transfer case and a 4-speed trans. There's no engine. The axles are huge, at least they seem that way to me, I'm a Jeep guy.

There is a cab on it, which is squarish and pretty simple in construction - wood involved. The cab is not convertible style, but enclosed. There's no hood or fenders or bed, but there is a grill of some sort in the cab that seems to essentially include the first 6-8 inches of the "hood" if you feature what I mean - the pictures of M-37's I've seen have the hood coming down on top of the grill...

I'd be interested in messing with this thing, but would liketo know what it is and what it's worth. What's there (rolling chassis and cab) is in great shape, really. There's a 6 cyl. flathead sitting next to it, but the bellhousing on that does not match the bolt pattern of the trans that's in the chassis -maybe it's the "right" engine but from a different application.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! -
