Vaughn, I think you're right about the clutch gear, and the whole shifer fork area on the input. The NP- 201 has a little different input shaft and thrust washer set-up because of the pto gear, but basically the same as the NP- 200. Mine is worn more than I'd like and the fork has some wear too. The clutch gear is very loose on the shaft, should it be fairly tight? I can't tell how it should be because all my parts t-cases are also worn badly, I called Portland transmission yesterday to order a new input shaft and clutch gear, and the guy laughed and said he'd have to do some serious digging to get information on that t- case. He said he'd call back but of course he never did. Are parts available anymore for these t-cases? I thought Portland had everything??
