Chris, You're probably right, I may be putting the t-case to an unrealistic test with no load, but you would think if the toleances were right it would spin quietly, maybe I'm just dreaming. I've had problems with t-cases before, some of the oder ones are bad designs like the Rockwell 221 I had in my old Chevy, I finally switched it to a NP 205 which is a good t-case and I was happy with the results. This NP 201 (which is the same as the NP 200 with a side pto port) I'm using, seems sort of an older design too, those Stack cases are looking pretty good about now, I could get some real nice gearing to offset the 583's. Only problem is I need the pto on the t-case. Maybe I'll go with a divorced 205 if I can't get satifaction from my 201. Just when I thought I was almost done. ha ha!
