18+ inches long x 7 inches in diameter. You'd have to move the transfer case back i think. after paying for the d shaft changes + moving the transfer case you'd be better off just buying a new stak transfer case. 3 speeds (you choose) & 1 can be overdrive. new technology & its stouter than a np205. you can get a disc emergency brake for it too and the case can be clocked to fit your application so you can do a centered rear. 3000 for the new stak or 1500 for an old overdrive + d shaft changes. id install a stak, but have no need as long island is flat and my command car will only be for tooling around. i did 489s but if i had to do it over i would have kept stock gearing and done 11.00 16 michelin radials.
