I loaned my 1/2t command car to a museum once. Somebody engaged my pto, without knowing it. Wound the winch up so tight, it stalled the engine. There after, every time they let out the clutch the engine died. Then, they tried to tow the truck. With the open rear end, the left wheel would spin backwards. Boy, they were really stumped. All because I didn't have that hinge-latch gismo for the PTO lever on the floor.
