We have a 79'Ramcharger that has the Power Wagon Emblems on it. It has a 360ci engine and that is stock from the factory. It is labeled in the door as a 3/4 ton and not a 1/2 like all of the other Ramchargers. It is also a factory automatic and just keeps chugging up the trail. Is our truck any less of a Power Wagon than all the old ones? For that matter my husband keeps talking about the new Power Wagons that Dodge is making and they sound like they are as tough as they get. I saw a picture in someones post that looked like a new Power Wagon at the Texas Rall. Is his truck just a Dodge or does he also have a Power Wagon?

I think if you have pride in what you drive that's what matters. If is says that it's a Power Wagon on the side and you replace something out of need or want then it is still a Power Wagon. I know that alot of parts are somewhere between hard and impossible to find. I hear my husband complain about it all the time and his is only a 79 and you are talking about trucks from the 40's and 50's? I am sure that those parts are even harder to locate then his are.

So yes it's still a Power Wagon even with the modifications.
